Bring back Carrick
Admits himself in today's papers that he needs to move on.

I'd love to have him back on a one-year contract (please note) if the wages work.

Still strokes the ball around like he's caressing a vagina. And let's face it, even at 35 he'd be a Ferrari compared to the Mark Noble Ford Mondeo currently chugging around the expansive OS midfield.

Who agrees on having him back?

Sideways passing will save us! Get some self respect some of you. Fucking Defoe and Carrick. Dickheads.

Re: BRING BACK CARRICK
Hugely under rated still

His career is as good as it gets and he still has another season and a half left in him

I've a funny feeling he'll get snapped up by Beneitez

Re: BRING BACK CARRICK
Won 5 PL titles and the CL as a regular and only got 34 caps.

Odd one considering the shit Man Utd have clogged up the national squad with, especially when you consider that fat hom, Garry Barry has over 50 caps.

It's still a massive 'WTF, no, are you insane' though.

Was very impressive when they beat us at UP in the cup.

Better than Nordtveit at CB DFM

Better than Noble at CMF...DFM

Precision passes to Payet...Lanzini...Antonio...

Should have got him 18 months ago...

Re: BRING BACK CARRICK
I did say sign him in the summer but they gave him a one year extension shame because he is just what we need for a year or
so.

Strange. I remember distinctly that few rated him when he was here.
Too lazy, it was said.
Most of his passes go astray, it was said.
Too fond of the bottle, it was said

Yeah bring him back. Maybe he'll give Carroll a kick up the arse. But he wont replace Noble. Too old. Too insouciant.

Let me add to that. The miserable Boo boys hounded the young Carrick and really undermined his confidence. If I were he I certainly would not consider returning to West Ham.

Re: BRING BACK CARRICK
'back' is not the word that I would use. He left about a hundred years ago. And no..

Not often you see 'insouciant' on here.

BRING BACK CONKERS!

Re: BRING BACK CARRICK
Contrary to popular belief, he is actually massively overrated. We need less slow, unimaginative, sideways passing (white) midfielders, not more.

Overrated? Of course, that's why he's got five PL medals.

I always got the feeling that he didn't particularly want to play for us in the first place. He wouldn't come back.

Grumpster 9:29 Thu Nov 17
Re: BRING BACK CARRICK
Wasn't crazy about him the first time round, though after leaving us and maturing, he obviously became a lot more consistent.

Had a great career and am pleased for the bloke, but time to move forward with younger players.
